A movement order is a trip you give to a vehicle and its driver: where it leaves from, where it goes and when. It is also the starting point for GPS tracking. This tutorial is for fleet owners and managers, and for the drivers who run the trips.

## What do I need before I start?
- A paid membership and at least one vehicle in **My Fleet**. See [Fleet management](/fleet-management).
- A driver assigned to that vehicle, who has accepted the assignment. See "How do I add a driver to my fleet?" in [Fleet management](/fleet-management).
- A driver with a smartphone that has GPS. The driver uses the phone's web browser, logged in to their Laaimylorrie.com account.

## How do I create a movement order?
1. Log in and open **My Fleet** then **Movement Orders**.
2. Click **Create New**.
3. **Step 1: Vehicle Departure Pin.** Click the exact departure point on the map. The **Latitude** and **Longitude** fill in. Click **Proceed to Step 2**.
4. **Step 2: Vehicle Destination Pin.** Click the exact destination on the map. Click **Proceed to Step 3**.
5. **Step 3: Vehicle Selection.** Under **Available Vehicles**, select the vehicle for this trip. It moves to **Selected Vehicles**.
6. Set the **Start Date & Time**.
7. Check the estimated distance and travel time.
8. Set the **GPS Tracking Refresh Rate**: how often, in minutes, the driver's phone sends its position.
9. Add a **Description** with any special instructions for the driver.
10. Click **Submit**. You see **Success: New Entry**.

You can create several movement orders for the same vehicle to build up a trip schedule.

## How is the driver told?
The driver assigned to the vehicle gets a message in their inbox, and an e-mail: **You have been assigned a new Movement Order**. The order shows as **Status: Pending** and **Awaiting driver input** until the driver starts the trip.

## How do I follow a trip?
1. Open **My Fleet** then **Movement Orders**.
2. The list shows each order's **Driver**, **Start Date**, **Distance**, **GPS Info**, **Status** and **Travel Time**.
3. Click an order to see it on the map, with the vehicle's last position.

| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| **Status: Pending** | The trip has not started yet |
| **Status: Active** | The driver has started the trip |
| **Status: Completed** | The trip is finished |
| **Status: Online** / **Status: Offline** | Whether the driver's phone is currently sending its position |

The GPS details show the **Last Update**, **Speed**, **Altitude** and **Heading**. The list refreshes by itself every 5 minutes. Click **Refresh** to update it straight away.

> **Note:** Tracking only works while the driver is logged in with the movement order open on their phone, and the phone's location is switched on. As the owner, make sure your driver knows this before the trip.

## How do I delete a movement order?
Click the delete icon next to the order and confirm with **Delete**.

## What does the driver do?
1. Log in on the phone at the [Member Login page](https://www.laaimylorrie.com/members/login.aspx).
2. Open **Driver Profile** then **Movement Orders**.
3. Open the trip and click **Start Trip**. Allow the browser to use your location when it asks.
4. Keep the page open while driving, so your position is sent.
5. During the trip, use **Add Fuel Entry** to record fuel and **Report an Issue** if something goes wrong with the vehicle.
6. At the destination, click **Stop Trip**.

If the phone has no GPS, or location access is blocked, the driver sees **Failure: GPS Required** and cannot start the trip.

> **Tip:** Drivers can also see their vehicles and shared documents under **Driver Profile** then **Vehicles** and **Documents**, and pins you share with them under **Locations**.
